IoT Meter Reading Equipment (DCU / Gateway)

IoT meter reading equipment designed as a data concentrator unit (DCU) for smart water metering systems. Acting as a gateway between field devices and cloud platforms, it enables structured data collection, transmission and system-level management.

The DCU supports key functions including task scheduling, data acquisition, transmission, storage and device management, enabling centralized control across distributed metering networks.

Multiple communication configurations are available:

  • 4G models (Cortex-M3 processor) for high-speed uplink communication
  • NB-IoT models (RISC-V processor) for low-power, wide-area deployment 

Downlink communication with field devices is supported via RS485 or M-Bus, enabling integration with wired water meters and existing infrastructure systems.

Manufactured using SMT processes, the unit offers high reliability, stable performance, strong load capacity and low power consumption, supporting long-term operation in infrastructure environments.

Designed for integration into AMI systems, the DCU serves as a key component for scalable, system-level smart metering deployment.

The data concentrate unit(DCU)is used as gateway for wired water meter,work with Cloud Platform management system to carry out a series of remote data transmission and control for smart water meters,including task setting,data acquisition, data transmission,data storage and instrument management.

TY-RTU-4GOOB/01B and DJGCCRO0/01-,is a DCU uses high performance processor Cortex-M3 and 4G communication module,with the uplink data transmission of 4G network and downlink data transmission is carried out by RS485 or M-bus.   RTU-NB00B/01B,is a DCU uses high performance processor RISC-V and NB-IoT communication module,with the uplink data transmission of NB-loT network and downlink data transmission is carried out by RS485 or M-bus.

The thress DCUs are produced by SMT process,which have the characteristics of high accuracy,good reliability,strong load capacity,low power consumption and long life.
